Our Audiologists

Katie L. Grote, M.A.

Katie Grote is a certified audiologist and a licensed dispenser of hearing aids. She specializes in advanced diagnostic testing and hearing aid fittings for adults. Katie has been with Spokane Valley Ear, Nose, Throat and Facial Plastics since 2002. She enjoys making a difference in patients’ lives through better hearing and an improved quality of life. When away from audiology, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children. Her family has a love for the outdoors. They enjoy boating, camping and hiking.

Clarissa “Clixie” Larson, M.A.

Clarissa “Clixie” Larson has served Eastern Washington and Idaho as a certified/licensed audiologist since 1979. She enjoys working with all age groups, with a special interest in the diagnostics and aural rehabilitation in both the clinical and school setting.

Clixie is licensed in Washington State as well as Idaho. In addition to working at Spokane Valley ENT, she works part-time in a local school district. “I enjoy seeing the entire process of diagnosing a hearing loss, fitting with amplification and assisting in the education process of aural rehabilitation”.

When spending time away from audiology, Clixie enjoys reading, kayaking/boating, walking/hiking and spending time with family.

Raymon McNiven, M.A.

Ray McNiven is a certified and licensed audiologist with a strong background in hearing aids. Before joining Spokane Valley ENT, Ray spent three and a half years working for Siemens Hearing Instruments, one of the world’s largest hearing aid manufacturers. His professional interests include hearing aid technology, hearing aid fitting and assistive devices.

Outside of the office Ray spends his time following his sons many activities, playing outside, reading or tinkering on one of his various projects around the home or in the shop.

Wendy Traynham, Au.D.

Dr. Wendy Traynham is a certified and licensed audiologist who has practiced since 1995. Wendy has a strong background in hearing aid fitting and diagnostic evaluations for patients of all ages. She has performed electrophysiological evaluations, including auditory brainstem evaluations and electronystagmography.

Wendy enjoys downhill skiing, bicycling, hiking, swimming, reading and spending time with her family.
