Facial Trauma
Spokane Valley ENT specializes in treating facial diseases, injuries and defects.
Facial trauma, also called maxillofacial trauma, can involve soft-tissue injuries (burns, lacerations, bruises), fractures to facial bones such as the nose or jaw, as well as eye injuries.
Severe facial injuries could potentially cause disfigurement and loss of function, such as blindness or difficulty moving the jaw. They could also cause severe, life-threatening bleeding or interfere with the airway.
Depending on the type of facial injury, treatment could range from bandaging, suturing and medication, to moving bones back into place and surgery.
Spokane Valley ENT’s Dr. Omar Husein specializes in oral and maxillofacial surgery for treating facial diseases, injuries and defects to the face, skull, mouth, jaws and other facial structures.
